Short & Open Circuit Detector The “SMART” ECT2000 makes locating short & open circuits easier than ever before. It consists of 2 units: “SMART’ transmitter and “SMART” receiver, along with the most common adapters to get you connected to any electrical circuit on the vehicle. The “SMART” ECT2000 detects and alerts you immediately whether a circuit is shorted or open. You can also wiggle, twist, pull, push, and flex wires or connectors and observe a change in intermittent circuit conditions. The reception sensitivity feature locks you into the troubled circuit, pin-pointing the fault. The “SMART” receiver also shows the direction to the short circuit, eliminating guesswork.
