Description
The EPB series provides a connection between a post (or column) for decks, patio covers and other top-supported structures. Added standoff adjustability to suit a variety of applications. Install in wet concrete. Simpson Strong-Tie elevated base plate allows 1 In. to 2-1/2 In. clearance above concrete. 12-gauge base plate, 1-1/16 In. O.D. x 8 In. or 12 In. pipe. Post bases do not provide adequate resistance to prevent members from rotating about the base and therefore are not recommended for non top-supported installations (such as fences or unbraced carports). Simpson Strong-Tie gray paint (may be ordered HDG-hot dip galvanized).
